We are at the crowning event of the Book of Mormon – Jesus’ visit to the Americas!
Jesus miraculously provides the sacrament and teaches of the Abrahamic covenant and the gathering of Israel. He expounds the scriptures to the people, commands them to search the scriptures, and commands them to write the words of Isaiah.
Jesus explains that his messengers will prepare the way for the Second Coming and a marvelous work will take place in the latter days. Israel is commanded to pay tithes and offerings and keep a book of remembrance.
Nathan Siebach and Lara Koontz discuss 3 Nephi 20-26 and share their insights into these chapters.

We are at the feet of Jesus! The year is 34 AD and Jesus has been resurrected and is teaching his “other sheep” in the new world.
He calls and commissions the 12 disciples, delivers the Sermon on the Mount, and
speaks the Beatitudes. Jesus teaches the people the Lord’s prayer, commands them to judge not, beware of false prophets, and promises salvation to those who do the will of the Father.
Jesus explains that the law of Moses is fulfilled in Him and that there are other lost
sheep of Israel that he will visit. He explains that in the latter-days the gospel will go forth to the Gentiles and then to the house of Israel and the Lord’s people will see eye to eye when He brings again Zion.
Nathan Siebach and Leah Danielson discuss 3 Nephi 12-16 and share their insights into these chapters.

Samuel the Lamanite has come to Zarahemla to preach to the Nephites. After many days, he is rejected by the people and cast out. The Lord commands him to return and say to the people whatever words enter into his heart. After being forbidden entry into the city, Samuel climbs upon the wall to address the people.
Samuel then identifies the wickedness among the Nephites-their love of riches, pride, malice and persecutions. He calls them to repent and prophesies their destruction if they do not return to the Lord. Samuel prophesies of the Savior’s birth with many signs including a new star in the sky and a day, a night and a day without darkness. He prophesies that at the Savior’s death their will be three days of darkness with many natural disasters which will change the entirety of the land.
Nathan and Emily Siebach discuss Helaman 13-16 and share their insights into these chapters.

Nephi returns to Zarahemla from his mission to the lands northward after being rejected by the people. He prays upon his tower in the garden and laments for the wickedness of the people. A crowd gathers around Nephi, he condemns their evil ways and the corruption in the government and prophecies that the chief judge has been murdered by his brother; both of whom are members of the Gadianton robbers.
The people find the chief judge murdered and arrest Nephi. By prophecy he reveals the chief judge’s brother as the murderer and is ultimately set free.
The Lord gives Nephi the sealing power and he asks that the war amongst the people and Gadianton robbers be replaced with a famine. After two years of famine the people begin to repent and join the church again.
Pride begins to enter into the hearts of the people, the Gadianton robbers grow steadily in numbers, take refuge in the mountains and wilderness, and defend their lands in several wars with the Nephites.
All of the people...
Lehi and Nephi covert thousands of Nephites and then go to the land of Nephi to preach to the Lamanites. They are imprisoned for many days, encircled by fire, and 300 of their captors witness this miracle and hear the voice of God. As a result, thousands of Lamanites are converted. The Lamanites become more righteous, eradicate the Gadianton Robbers from their lands and begin to preach to the Nephites.
We'll discuss how pride separates us from the Spirit and strength of the Lord. Sanctification comes from yielding our hearts to God. If we make Jesus Christ our foundation, we cannot fall. Our faith is strengthened by “the greatness of the evidences [we have] received.”
Nathan Siebach discusses Helaman 1-6 and share his insights into these chapters.

We’re in the middle of a great war between the Nephites and the Lamanites! The period covered in these chapters is 64 BC to 52 BC-12 years!
This week we learned that as we exercise faith and trust in God, He will strengthen us. We can choose to think the best of others and not be offended. We have a responsibility to lift those around us. We should remember the Lord during times of adversity and prosperity.
Nathan Siebach discusses Alma 53-63 and shares his insights into these chapters.

Alma the Younger is counseling and teaching his son Corianton who has committed some serious transgressions.
When someone we love has made a serious mistake, it can be hard to know how to respond. Part of what makes Alma 39–42 so valuable is that it reveals how Alma —a disciple of Christ who once had his own grievous sins to repent of —handled such a situation. Alma’s son Corianton had committed sexual sin, and Alma, as he often did, trusted the power of true doctrine to encourage repentance (see Alma 4:19; 31:5).
In these chapters, we observe Alma’s boldness in condemning sin and his tenderness and love for Corianton. And ultimately, we sense Alma’s confidence that the Savior “shall come to take away [sins and] declare glad tidings of salvation” to those who repent. The fact that Corianton eventually returned to the work of the ministry can give us hope for forgiveness and redemption when we are “trouble[d]” about...
The year is 74 BC and Alma and several of his companions are serving a mission to reclaim the apostate Zoramites-the ones with the Rameumptom! The poorest Zoramites have been kicked out of the synagogues because of their poverty and have become humble. Alma and Amulek teach them to have faith and teach them to pray.
The believers are cast out of Antionum and the Zoramites join the Lamanites against the Nephites in battle. The good guys win and the new converts join the people of Ammon.
Nathan is joined by Brent and Karen Anderson as they discuss Alma 32-35 and share their insights into these chapters.

The year is 74 B.C. An anti-Christ named Korihor begins preaching in Zarahemla and has a large following. He is cast out of Jershon by the people of Ammon and bound in the city of Gideon.
The judges in Gideon send him back to Zarahemla where he contends with Alma the Younger. Korihor demands a sign and ultimately receives one and is struck dumb by the power of God.
Alma goes on a mission to the Apostate Zoramites and takes several companions with him – Ammon, Aaron, Omner, Amulek, Zeezrom, and two of his three sons, Corianton and Shiblon.
The Zoramites have built a tower called the Rameumptom and offer a twisted prayer each sabbath day. Alma offers a prayer in their behalf and prays for the success of his companions.
Nathan is joined by Holly Siebach, Parrish and Andrea Balcena as they discuss Alma 30-31 and share their insights into these chapters.

For the last 14 years, Ammon, Aaron, Omner and Himni have been serving missions to the Lamanites. The converted Lamanites lay down their weapons of war, burying them in the ground, and covenant never to take them up again.
After all these years, the sons of Mosiah meet up with Alma the Younger and they glory in the Lord, their service, and the miracles which have taken place.
Nathan is joined by his parents, Holly and Ron Siebach, as they discuss Alma 23-29 and share their insights into these chapters.
